AIRLINES FUELING AROUND
A recent spate of air cargo carrier fuel surcharges has sparked a backlash from shippers and forwarders that want airlines to reveal more about how they track fuel prices and use indexes to judge rate increases. The forwarder's discontent stems from a fuel index prepared for carriers by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), a group that represents airline interests throughout the world. The article discusses some of the charges of price collusion.
