INTEGRATION PARTICIPATION
After its 1995 acquisition of Southern Pacific Railroad, Union Pacific Railroad's (UP) service was unreliable and inconsistent. Those service problems lingered into 1998. The article reviews the progress made in its first 18 months by this operating/marketing hybrid, NDI.
