MEASURES TO ENHANCE THE EFFICIENCY OF URBAN FREIGHT TRANSPORTATION IN HIROSHIMA CITY
This paper describes experimental studies, in Hiroshima City, Japan, on measures to enhance the efficiency of urban freight transportation. These include loading bays attached to bus bays; and using the loading apron for common use has been very effective in relieving traffic congestion and has been accepted by lorry drivers.
