LONG-TERM BEHAVIOR OF HARD POLYURETHANE FOAM AND COMPOSITE ELEMENTS UNDER TYPICAL RAILWAY VEHICLE CONDITIONS
LANGZEITVERHALTEN VON PUR-HARTSCHAUM UND VERBUNDELEMENTEN UNTER SCHIENENFAHRZEUGTYPISCHEN BEDINGUNGEN
The assessment of long-term static and dynamic loads and effects of weathering in vehicles built on the "sandwich" principle on a hard polyurethane foam support is different from that of vehicles with the traditional metal underframe. It is therefore necessary to find out the effect of these influences on the foam and the composite elements for a period of 2.10 to the fifth power hours (approx. 24 years). The authors describe the first results of the tests completed.
