EXPERIMENTAL TRACK WITH REINFORCED CONCRETE SHELL-TYPE SLEEPERS
EXPERIMENTELLEN OBENBAU MIT SCHALENSCHWELLEN AUS STAHLBETON
The author describes a reinforced concrete sleeper in the form of a cylindrical shell, its constructional design and its testing in the laboratory and on a test track. Compared with the beam-shaped sleeper, the shell type offers considerably more track stability.
