FUTURE DEVELOPMENT IN PRODUCT TANKERS

EL FUTURO DESARROLLO DE LOS PETROLEROS DE PRODUCTOS

Different types of traffic for product tankers are analyzed. Future types of product tankers are discussed together with IMCO requirements and the physical restrictions imposed by the Suez and Panama Canals. The concept of restricted draft is dealt with and the corrosioon problem is discussed. A study is made of different alternatives in the steel weight of a 126,000 tdw product tanker.
