GROUNDWATER INVESTIGATION AND CONTROL IN HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION: PART 1
Descriptions are given of some groundwater treatments in the planning, execution and interpretation of site investigations for highway projects. A number of situations are considered in which the presence of groundwater can cause problems during construction. Procedures for its control will be discussed in part 2, and the advantages considered of combining necessary short term measures with the permanent works drainage design.(a) /TRRL/
