ATTENTION TO SAFETY IN THE DECISION MAKING ON TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE: A PROCESS DESIGN
This paper reports on the results of a number of case studies regarding transportation infrastructure decision making. It also notes the amount of attention that safety risks were given during the decision making process. The studies were part of research undertaken by the Delft University of Technology and the Erasmus University Rotterdam. The goal of the research was to determine a format for decision making in which expert input of safety factors in making infrastructure decisions was assured.
