TECHNICAL DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A NEW TRANSPORT CONCEPT: COMBI-ROAD
This paper presents the development process of a vehicle guidance and communication system used to operate an automated transport system for containers, called Combi-Road. Combi-Road was developed in The Netherlands. Topics included in the discussion are: general development approach, vehicle development (semi-trailers), communication development, and prototype testing.
