AN ANALYTICAL METHOD TO STUDY THE MANEUVERABILITY OF AUTOMOBILES AGAINST SIDE WIND GUST
A wind gust test device installed in our proving ground has been introduced and some measurements were conducted employing it. The specification of this facility is explained briefly at first, then the running paths of vehicles having different shapes are shown as an example of measurements. A theoretical consideration was developed employing the equations of motion with four degress of freedom, for which the aerodynamic input function has been estimated by statical test results using the device. /Author/
