A DEEPWATER PORT RESOURCES LIST -- INCLUDING THE DEEPWATER PORT ACT OF 1974 AND THE DEEPWATER PORT REGULATIONS
The Office of Deepwater Ports, Office of the Secretary, United States Department of Transportation, was created by the Deepwater Port Act of 1974, P.L. 93-627. Together with the Deepwater Ports Project Office in the United States Coast Guard, this Office is responsible for the regulation of the design, construction and operation of deepwater ports proposed for the United States. As a by-product of this responsibility, it has compiled this bibliography relating to deepwater ports. Included are copies of the Deepwater Port Act of 1974 and an excerpt from the Federal Register of November 10, 1975, setting forth current regulations on the licensing procedures and requirements for design, construction and operations.
