Road salt is commonly used to clear miles of Canadian roads each winter. Its benefits in terms of effectiveness as a de-icing agent and cost are well known. To help fill this "information gap" this Kit was prepared. De-icing salt information has been separated under five headings. They are 1) Corrosion 2) Road Surfaces 3) Water 4) Trees, Grass and Vegetation and 5) General. Full titles are listed in the index.
