THE ECONOMICS OF THE TRANSPORTATION FIRM

This new book focuses on the industrial organization of U.S. domestic transportation in areas such as airlines, rail and motor carriers, inland waterways, and pipelines. It is an empirical and theoretical study of matters of economic policy with a view toward understanding questions of optimal forms of market structure and economic growth, the impact of decreased regulation on resource allocation, and the effects of large companies on economic efficiency.
