AN ANALYSIS OF ORDERING BEHAVIOR OF TANKER OWNERS FOR THE PERIOD OF 1965 TO 1975
The main purpose is to examine the major factors affecting the tanker ordering behavior pattern and if possible obtain a formula for forecasting orders given current market variables. In addition the results are compared with previous studies in order to identify any significant changes in tanker ordering behavior in recent years. More than fifty computer runs were undertaken to perform various regressions and selected results of regression analysis are discussed in this paper.
