INJURY PATTERNS IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS AND SUGGESTED PREVENTIVE MEASURES
The article briefly discusses the main pattern of injuries sustained in traffic accidents. The following types of injury to driver and passengers are included - ruptures of the parasagittal bridging veins and gliding contusions of the brain, axis fractures, and aortic and pelvic injuries. Injuries to unprotected road users such as pedestrians, cyclists and moped riders are also discussed. /TRRL/
