CAMS: A MICROPROCESSOR-CONTROLLED CONTAINER MARKING SYSTEM
A system is described which uses two microprocessors to receive label data and control a high-power laser/deflector unit to generate permanent labels on the surfaces of shipping containers. The CAMS unit is capable of generating 19 line labels with as many as 35 characters per line on fiberboard, wood, or suitably coated substrates in less than thirty seconds.
