The ocean-going tug "Smit London" has a length oa of 74. 75 m, a beam of 15. 68 m, a draft of 6. 40 m and is powered by two nine cylinder Stork-Werkspoor type 9TM410 diesel engines developing 22 000 1 hp at 16. 5 knots. The tug is designed for the towage of heavy and bulky objects, such as floating drydocks and offshore structures as well as salvage duties, and is equipped with Kort ducted propellers. The bollard pull is about 1 960kN.
