AN EXPLORATION OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF AUTOMATED VEHICLE GUIDANCE SYSTEMS
This study focuses on the possible development of automated vehicle guidance (AVG) systems. It uses an approach that presents a framework for study AVG systems development in terms of developments in the overall transportation system. Two different scenarios are used; one involves strong government regulation, while the other scenario market regulation is assumed. Resulting mobility figures from the scenarios are then used in creating a problem statement with a resulting development path.
