RURAL ITS MASTER PLAN : THE COLORADO SH 82 EXPERIENCE

This paper describes the development of an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Rural Master Plan for State Highway 82 in Colorado. It first focuses on the purpose of the master plan, the development process, and issues identification and solutions. The remainder of the paper then discusses the ITS projects that would be implemented through the plan.
