THE APPLICATION OF FUZZY CONTROL TO AUTOMATIC TRAIN OPERATION
This paper presents an attempt to apply a fuzzy logic control method to an Automatic Train Operation system. It does this by directly modeling the behavior of a skilled driver and is based on the principle of Partition of Complex Process & Hierarchical Intelligent Control. The authors also present a new method to determine the firing strength of fuzzy rule which is the weighted sum of the membership of input variables.
