A NEURAL NETWORK BASED ARTIFICIAL VISION SYSTEM FOR LICENSE PLATE RECOGNITION

This paper describes a neural network based vision system that is able to analyze the image of a car captured by a camera, locate the registration plate and recognize the registration number of the car. The paper also describes the different practical problems encountered in implementing this application and the solutions used to solve them.
