CLAIRE CROSSES THE CHANNEL : A FRENCH SUPERVISOR DESIGNED TO MAKE UTC SYSTEMS WORK HARDER IS ON TRIAL IN FRANCE AND IN THE UK

This article describes CLAIRE, a new artificial intelligence-based supervisor that is designed to enhance urban traffic control (UTC) systems and their congestion handling capabilities. CLAIRE is being evaluated on test sites on both sides of the English Channel.
