THE USE OF MICROWAVE VEHICLE DETECTORS WITH TRAFFIC SIGNALS

This article reports on a survey carried out to establish whether microwave vehicle detectors (MVDs) are being installed and maintained adequately in their use with traffic signals. The following elements of their use were assessed: tilt, pan position, distance of detection and standard of installation.
