PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SERVICES IN KANSAS: A DIRECTORY OF PROVIDERS RECEIVING FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION SECTION 18, SECTION 16, AND SECTION 9 GRANTS

This publication is a directory of the public transportation providers in Kansas who are currently receiving grants from Section 18, Section 16, and Section 9 of the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, as amended by the Federal Transit Act of 1991. A brief operating profile is presented for each provider, grouped by coordinated transit districts. The information was obtained from the responses of all the providers to a questionnaire sent to them by the Office of Public Transportation of the Kansas Department of Transportation. The questionnaire is appended. The purpose of the directory is to provide information for use by state government officials, transit operators, planners, civic leaders, and others who are interested in public transportation.
