POLICIES FOR FOSTERING SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORTATION TECHNOLOGIES : CONFERENCE SUMMARY

This document contains the proceedings form a conference which focused on technologies and integrating policies that would create a more sustainable transportation system. The conference addressed three specific areas: 1) the historical effectiveness of emissions and fuels policies and regulations in the U.S.; 2) trends in emissions and fuel use; and, 3) strategies dealing with new concerns such as global warming and fine particulates.
