COMPUTER BASED HIGHWAY REFERENCE SYSTEM
The objective of this project was to produce a prototype CD-ROM containing the Utah State Highway System Reference Manual in an electronic format, which can be viewed directly from the CD-ROM. A prototype software application was developed to evaluate the feasibility of replacing the hardcopy Manual with an electronic version. The application was implemented for distribution on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM application was demonstrated to the Utah Department of Transportation Technical Advisory Committee. It provides a scaleable view of the highway route system and fast convenient access to inventory data.
