ITS TOOLBOX - INTELLIGENT CITY TRANSPORT

This ITS Toolbox aims to be a first source describing how "Intelligent Transport Systems" or ITS can be used to obtain transport policy and business objectives. This document describes thirty one key ITS tools, and the technologies that form their basic "building blocks". A simple matrix identifies which tools are the most suitable for achieving thirty transport objectives. The sections of the document are traffic management, payment systems, public transport management, traffic and travel information, freight transport management, security and emergency and building blocks.
