VORMGEVEN AAN TELEMATICADIENSTEN IN VERKEER EN VERVOER IN RELATIE TOT HET BESCHIKBARE FREQUENTIESPECTRUM [SET UP OF TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORTATION TELEMATICS SERVICES IN RELATION TO THE AVAILABLE FREQUENCY SPECTRUM]

This report presents a methodology for assessing the consequences of telematics services in traffic and transportation relative to the available frequency spectrum. It is implied that the communication needs in traffic and transportation are determined by social development, the manner in which telematics services are set up, and the availability of radio systems and the way in which the communications process is organized. A case study of the Electronic Vehicle information (EVi) concept is presented, in which the applicability of GSM for handling the information message flow is assessed.
