A CURRENT PERSPECTIVE ON THE PRAIRIE GRAIN HANDLING AND TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
This Report discusses the various issues that are related to the handling and transportation of prairie grain. In particular, this Report is designed to meet the following objectives; to describe the nature of the grain handling and transportation system in Canada, and in particular, in Western Canada. To discuss the major problems facing the prairie grain handling and transportation system in an objective manner, and to review various past attempts towards the rationalization of the grain transportation and handling system. The Report is divided into five Chapters, including the importance and the uniqueness of grain transportation, the existing grain handling and transportation system on the Prairies, the major issues facing the system, a review of various past approaches and merits of these approaches. /RTAC/
