PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND THE CRITICAL CONSUMER: A NEW MARKETING STRATEGY
WAT KAN HET OV MET DE KEUZEREIZIGER?: EEN BETOOG VOOR EEN NIEUWE MARKETINGSTRATEGIE
'Passenger transport for tomorrow' is a programme of the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant for the radical renewal of the public transport system. Part of the present activities is the development of a marketing strategy, which is focused on the critical consumer, who makes a choice out of many available transport alternatives. In this segment of the market there are chances for product innovation and a more intensive use of present modalities. In research and marketing more attention for different categories of travelers is needed to create a better insight into chances for innovation.
