ENVIRONMENTAL FUTURES AND ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE
This paper examines two perspectives that will influence future road infrastructure investment and maintenance needs. The first is the influence of climate change associated with greenhouse gas emissions on population distribution, travel demand and road pavement life cycle performance. The second is the implication of rising watertables and dryland salinity on the National Highway System. (a) For the covering entry of this conference, please see ITRD abstract no.E208007.
