HIGHWAY TRAFFIC AND SAFETY EDUCATION: COMPLETED STUDIES
Forty three studies are presented here which cover a wide field of traffic and safety related topics. These topices include those such as the relationship of violation and the biographical characteristics to the driving knowledge of participants in driver improvement clinics, the effect of selected methods of braking on choice reaction time, the use of left-foot braking, the development of student response programmed materials, and the requirements to enter a graduate program in safety and/or driver education. Driver education textbooks, motorcycle instructional practices, and rating scales for secondary school drivers are also covered. Emergency medical service, the mentally retarded, an evaluation instrument for teacher effectiveness, and an instructional guide on automobile dynamics are among the many other topics covered here.
