DESIGN FOR THE GENESEE TRANSPORTATION STUDY TRAVEL SURVEY, FALL 1974
This report presents an overview of the Genesee Transportation Study Travel Survey (Rochester, New York and its environs) to be conducted in fall 1974. The survey consists of nine separate components, administered to a sample of 4,800 households in the eight- county area. A combination of interviews and mail-out procedures is used in each sub-region to obtain both travel and opinion information. Data are obtained on household, person, and trip characteristics; opinions about transportation issues and attitudes toward dial-a-bus, park-and-ride, and improved local bus services. A license plate mail-out survey of vehicles crossing the cordon at selected locations completes the design. /GMRL/
