CENTRE SIM: FIRST-GENERATION MODEL DESIGN, PRAGMATIC IMPLEMENTATION, AND SCENARIOS. IN: TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS PLANNING. METHODS AND APPLICATIONS
In this chapter, the earliest version of a model system (Centre SIM) incorporating activity information in a traditional urban transportation planning system (UTPS) model is presented. Centre SIM improves the accuracy and predictive capabilities of the traditionally applied 4-step model. This is based on a simple and practical methodology that efficiently incorporates person-based activity behavior within the structure of a 4-step model.
