OIL-GAS BURNER FOR METHANE BURN-OFF

The boil off from LNG tankers has forced action for its disposal. Legislation already prohibits any increase in pressure as a checking procedure. Hamworthy Engineering, Ltd. has developed a register to utilize the boil off to fuel the ship. This will care for the disposal problem, save fuel and is cheaper than alternate methods. A test rig has already been built and demonstrations of the burning were carefully studied in order to correct any problems prior to shipboard installation. The registers are now ready for production and market.
