CUSTOMER LOCATION SERVICES
This paper presents the concept of a Customer Location Service (CLS) and discusses the requirements for providing a CLS. A description of the functions required, inputs, database and processing are presented. Client platforms and their human interface constraints are discussed in light of server requirements and outputs. Examples of systems that are operating or under development are cited. The paper concludes with observations about the trend to merging dedicated systems with client server configurations.
