TOWARDS AUGMENTED CONTROL SYSTEMS
This paper describes research toward building control systems that include a complex, multi-state model of a driver's behavior. This allows for a control system that augments, rather than replaces, the driver. To accomplish this requires inferring the internal state of the driver, and then correctly adapting the remainder of the control system to achieve optimal performance.
