WIDENING THE NET : ULTRA-WIDEBAND TECHNOLOGIES FOR ITS

This article describes a new communication technology, ultra-wideband ( UWB), which offers enhanced capabilities to the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) industry. Recent development work on integrating this technology into computer chips, opening up low cost and versatility, is described.
