A NEW GENERATION OF PASSENGER INFORMATION SYSTEMS : A SINGLE CORE DATABASE AND EASY TOOLS FOR CONSULTING

This paper describes SUROIT, a single core database which gathers transport data for all modes associated with the RATP in Paris France. Focus is on the passenger information system and the different services offered by the system, including a visual route display videotex, interactive terminals, and maps.
