MODELING ADVANCED TRANSPORT TELEMATICS ARCHITECTURE USING FORMAL DEFINITION TECHNIQUES : PROPOSAL FOR A METHODOLOGY THAT INCORPORATES EXTENSIONS TO SDL AND ER
This paper describes how modeling techniques from the telecommunication field are used to define an architecture for intelligent transportation systems (ITS). The techniques give a precise and intuitive description that can be exploited to define and manage a systems architecture. In contrast to conventional methods it also provides an architectural model operating with types and instances and offers relative views through roles.
