INTELLIGENT MICROWAVE RADAR : MULTIPLE ZONE PRESENCE DETECTOR

This paper describes the Remote Traffic Microwave Sensor (RTMS), an intelligent microwave radar multiple zone presence detector. The RTMS has been used in a wide range of applications including stop-bar loop replacement, actuation of temporary intersections, system loop replacement, automatic incident detection systems and permanent counting stations.
