A PRELIMINARY EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF DISPLAY PATTERNS FOR DRIVER-IN- VEHICLE INFORMATION SYSTEMS IN TAIWAN
The focus of this paper is on the driver's dynamic route choice/switching behavior interacting with Advanced Driver Information Systems (ADIS). The major topic investigated in the paper is a preliminary study to understand the suitability of various display patterns of ADIS for native drivers in Taiwan. The study includes a static survey and a controlled experiment through a simulated display system using a portable computer.
