WIDE AREA SURVEILLANCE OF FREEWAYS USING VIDEO IMAGE PROCESSING TECHNIQUES
This paper presents the early results of projects set up to demonstrate the performance of a wide area surveillance system which is sufficiently robust to operate successfully under a multitude of freeway conditions. It presents the MOBILIZER wide area fusion system which processes traffic data obtained from multiple sensors to obtain dynamic wide area traffic information flow.
