THE APPLICATION OF SISTM TO DYNAMIC CONTROL OF THE M25
This paper reports on a pilot project of a controlled motorway involved speed control, on the M25 in Great Britain. A simple flow algorithm will initially be sued to determine when speed control should be introduced. A more sophisticated control strategy, using the SISTM computer simulation model, will be used to assess alternative control strategies.
