DEPLOYMENT OF ITS IN THE UNITED STATES

In this article, the author focuses on the challenges to deployment and the importance of articulating a national goal in regard to Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). He identifies four strategies to guide ITS. These include articulating a vision that will excite consumers, defining a national goal, building consensus and support the for funding, and accountability so that progress can be measured, deficiencies identified, and corrective actions taken.
