A FIRST STEP TOWARDS ROAD TRAFFIC SHORT-TERM PREDICTION USING MULTIFRACTAL TOOLS

This paper presents a first approach for short-term forecasting of traffic flow data using multifractal analysis. A possible improvement to the approach is then presented, based on multinomial measures and recent results on multifractal correlations.
