USER NEEDS, IVHS FUNCTIONAL AREAS, AND CURRENT TECHNOLOGY
This paper outlines the relationship between the current set of Intelligent Vehicle Highway Systems (IVHS) user services, the national program goals, and the technologies that can help meet those goals. It provides a framework for understanding how the deployment of IVHS technologies fits into the planning process by outlining the relationship between technology providers, the IVHS product/service provider, and the private consumer.
