FIBER OPTIC COMMUNICATIONS DESIGN FOR FREEWAY MANAGEMENT CENTERS

The focus of this research was to study the use of fiber optic cable as a communications media for freeway traffic management centers. In particular, the location of the fiber lines with respect to the roadway, the ownership of the lines, and the installation method of the cable lines were investigated.
