MEASUREMENT OF RAILWAY PROFILES USING GPS INTEGRATED WITH OTHER SENSORS

This paper reports on the development and implementation of a rapid rail track mapping system based on the integration of the Global Positioning System with other sensors. The data from these field surveys is employed in modeling the vertical and horizontal profiles of track to be used in Train Simulators.
