TELECOMMUNICATION AND DATA TRANSMISSION BETWEEN ROADSIDE AND VEHICLES IN TUNNELS
This paper presents experimental results of faded magnitude attenuation inside tunnels, a statistical analysis of the fadings and of the field variation near the tunnel entrance. The characterization of the telecommunication channel has been made for a carrier frequency of 900 MHz, both in space and in time domain since the analysis of the propagation delays allows the determination of the coherence bandwidth. Experimental results are also compared to predicted values.
